Can I keep my house if I file for bankruptcy?

You've never missed a mortgage payment:
A bankruptcy can discharge your unsecured debt allowing you to keep making your payments. As long as you continue to make your payments, you’ll be safe in your home.

You've missed payments:
You'll have to make up the missing payments. However, you can put your arrearages into a Chapter 13 bankruptcy plan and stretch them over three to five years. (Whether it's three or five years depends on your income and circumstances).

You've got options through bankruptcy:
